Summer in Washington (June to August) is usual warm and humid, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius). There is usually snow for much of the winter with temperatures ranging between 24 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit (- 4 and 4 degrees Celsius). The weather is at its best between March and May and September and November, but during these seasons the city is also at its busiest.
